Phil is a Research Team Leader and Scientist with the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station and an Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials at Virginia Tech. His background of research and technology transfer has included pallet production, recovery, repair, and reuse, and in processing logs into lumber, cants, and pallets parts.

John's background includes 11 years at the Virginia Tech Pallet Lab and 5 years as Director of the Center for Unit Load Design. He still uses the unit load systems design concepts in his industry role as Technical Director at The Nelson Company. He is a member of ISTA, NWPCA, MHIA, and frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Packaging Engineering degree from Michigan State University. Experience includes Packaging Category Manager, Packaging Global Commodity Manager / Team Lead, Corporate Packaging Advisory Engineer and working with the national accounts sales team to develop new and innovative packaging strategies for customers.

Mike manages ANSI accredited standards work for the MH1 pallet standards committee and MH10 Unit-Loads and Transport Packages committee, plus US Technical Advisory Groups for standards at international ISO level (TC 51 and TC 122). Also manages MHI's College Industry Council on Material Handling Education, Order Fulfillment Solutions council, Conveyor & Sortation Systems group, and Electrification & Controls Manufacturers Association.

Nate graduated in 2003 from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He has designed/developed various packaging testing equipment, held various sales management positions, launched over 7 new products for Fortune 500 companies, and started a new plastic sheet extrusion division. He is now in charge of sales and marketing for Cabka, who is the World's largest plastic pallet company by units sold.
